Simmons, Director of Public Information for Richmond County Schools graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a degree in Journalism and Mass Communication, Public Relations concentration. She has worked in government, non-profit and agency PR with organizations including 919 Marketing Company, Time Warner Cable and Durham Public Schools before joining Richmond County Schools.
